After such great success at the Pans we thought we’d share some of it with you all. Our biggest victory came not in the form of medals over this exciting weekend but of seeing everyone from Ribeiro La Quinta and affiliate Ribeiro schools come together to make and share memories that will last forever. We want to thank everyone here at the school who stepped up and helped the pros, competitor or not, to grow together the only way we know how, through suffering together in the Pro classes and helping one another.
As far as the tournament went, everyone had great results and performances, Papa Hargett (Ken) with a silver medal in his very first tournament, Dwight Hargett with a Bronze medal, Zachary Avina with a silver medal and Steve Hargett who fought in the tough Masters Middleweight black belt bracket losing by 2 to the #1 Alex Martins who fought a smart fight to get the W. We also got to watch fellow Ribeiro athlete Victor Hugo take home x2 gold in the absolutely stacked brown belt ultra heavy and open class bracket along with many other Ribeiro competitors.
We are now preparing for the World Championships in Long Beach CA and the Masters Worlds in Vegas. We hope to share many more memories with you then. Our family is ever growing and we welcome everyone who wishes to improve themselves and experience the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle. To our students, thank you for your support, you make our mission possible, see you on the mats. Oss!
